Few wooden grain elevators remain. They were used to store grain ready for shipment, usually by rail. Many were demolished or destroyed by fire. These, at Hussar, Alberta, are recreated here from my 1978 photograph. As far as I know, none of the Hussar elevators pictured are still standing. I understand that the CPR rail line has also been abandoned.
